The Mercury Prize 1994

Click on an album to read more about it at Amazon. 1994 is widely considered to be the year that the
Mercury Prize got it wrong. Blur's Parklife, which would go on to be one of the biggest selling and most
critically acclaimed albums
of the Nineties, was passed over in favour of M People's Elegant Slumming.
Surprise nominees this year were Take That with their debut album Everything Changes.
