The Mercury Prize 1995

Click on an album to read more about it at Amazon. 1995 was the year of trip hop,
a musical scene based in Bristol in England's south-west. This year's winners, Portishead,
were named after a town just outside the city. Tricky, another Bristolian trip hop act, was also
nominated, as was Yeovil born indie rocker PJ Harvey, who would win the Prize six years later.
